Arlette Juarez Ms. Lehmann English 2-1B 9 October 2019 Pulled Over Yvette and I were on the phone getting ready for a quince wewere both going to in Twin. Itbegan around 4:00. “My mom is kind of mad because I’m going to the party,” I said. “I don’t understand why if you’re going to be with me the whole time,” Yvette replied. We talked for a while about what we were going to wear andrandom stuff. Beforelong, I headed over to her house. In the car, my mom really didn’t say anything to me because she was upset with me. When we were getting closer to my grandma’s house, my mom began to talk to me. “What time are you coming home?” “I don’t know yet. It just depends on what time Lexi’s mom picks us up.” I didn’t say anything. I just looked at her. I wasn’t going home because I never got to go out with just my friends anymore; I always had to be with my mom or my sisters tagging along. I was really excited that I was going to be able to go out alone. When I got to my grandma’s house, Lexi and Yvette were waiting for me. We all got into Lexi’s car, and we went to the quince with her mom. While I was in the backseat, I could feel my heart pounding. It was beating so fast because of how nervous I was. When we arrived, we saw Fabian, Jesus, Manny, and Rosie. We went up to them and we talked for a little while. While we were standing outside, we could hear loud music playing inside. We talked to a few more people as we walked in, and then we started dancing with everyone. The party was coming to an end, and my feet were hurting from all the dancing and walking I did that night. Most of the night I was with Jesus dancing or I waswith my cousin, Fabian. I really wasn’t with Yvette and Lexi anymore. When I looked at my phone to call Yvette to see what time we were leaving, I had a few messages from her saying she was leaving with Vianey. I found Lexi and asked her what time her mom was coming. She said we needed to find another ride home because her mom wasn’t going to make it to get us. I panicked because I had to be home before 12. We went inside to look for Fabian, but he had also left, so the only other person I thought to ask was Jesus. He said he would take us home. We all walked to the car and got ready to leave when I got a phone call from my mom. She wanted to know where I was at and what was taking me so long. I told her what had happened, and she gave me a few minutes to get home. We began to drive off,but when we got past the corner, we saw flashing red and blue lights. My heart dropped, and I began to freak out. Jesus didn’t have a license or permit so we were in trouble. When the cop came up to the window, he asked us the usualquestions. “Whereare you guys coming from?” “We were at a party;I'm just trying to take them to the T.O.” He asked us some questions, and he called our parents to pick us up. When my mom come to pick me up she was pretty upset. She really didn’t talk to me the whole way home. I can tell in her eyes she didn’t want me to say a word. The whole way home I didn’t say a word. From this experience, I learned to never get in a car with a driver that doesn’t have a license. I learned a lot about all the mistakes that I have done. I'm going to just say this:this is the worst thing I have done. Personal Narrative Reflection
